Nicknamed Teletubbies Hill , Holbung Hill on Samosir Island must be on your list of places to visit while on Lake Toba. From the top, you can enjoy the blue of Lake Toba with the green mountains that surround it.
It doesn’t stop there, when evening arrives, you can also see the beauty of the sun starting to hide on the western horizon. Likewise the next day, the sun will greet you among the thick morning fog.

2. Bukit Gajah Bobok
Compared to other hills, this hill has a unique name, namely Gajah Bobok, aka sleeping elephant. It is called Gajah Bobok because when seen from a distance, the shape of this hill resembles a sleeping elephant.
Apart from the unusual name and shape, the view that greets you at the top of the hill is also special. Just like the previous hill, at Gajah Bobok you can see the beauty of Lake Toba and mountain ranges in the distance.
The difference is when night falls. The sky, which was previously orange, slowly began to darken. Millions of stars then appear to show off and make the night even more memorable.

3. Bukit Simarjarunjung

Not far from the top of the hill, there is a pine forest which makes the view even more difficult to forget. For those of you who want to visit, it’s a good idea to come on a weekday or weekday, so you can have more freedom to enjoy the view.

5. Bukit Senyum Motung
Initially, this hill was called Sitanggiting Hill, but eventually it was changed to Motung Smile Hill. From Motung Smile Hill, you can see the beauty of Lake Toba and rows of green hills from a distance.
What’s more special, because there are still limited visitors, the atmosphere on this hill is much more peaceful and calm. You can sit more freely on the green grass while looking at the blue lake.
